Be Thou Faithful Unto Death

English 🇵🇭 Tagalog “Be Thou Faithful Unto Death” (Revelation 2:10) A Command from the Lord Himself Brethren, these are not just words of encouragement. They are the marching orders of our only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords , Jesus Christ. Revelation 2:10 says, “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” This was spoken to the church in Smyrna, a congregation under pressure, persecution, and poverty. The Lord did not promise them escape from suffering — He promised them life if they would remain faithful, even if faithfulness meant death. Notice, it does not say, “Be faithful until you get tired.” It does not say, “Be faithful until you are old.” It says, unto death . Brethren, that means faithfulness for the rest of our lives, whatever comes. No pause button. No retirement from serving God.   Faithfulness Is More Than Believing Some people think that as long as they “believe in Jesus,” they are a...

The Watchman’s Burden

English 🇵🇭 Tagalog The Watchman’s Burden Text: Ezekiel 3:17–19 The Watchman’s Burden Brethren, and dear friends who may be seeking the truth — the Lord spoke to Ezekiel and said: "Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” (Ezek. 3:17–19) This is not just Ezekiel’s story. This is a warning to all of us who know God’s word. We are watchmen. And with that role comes a burden — a burden of souls. God’s Calling Is Personal The Lord said, “I have made thee ...

Is it merely a spiritual community? A charity? A worship center? The religious world today has stretched the concept of “church” far beyond its biblical role—turning it into entertainment halls, political organizations, business enterprises, or social reform centers. But the New Testament is not silent. This lesson will clarify the divinely authorized work of the church , distinguishing it from unauthorized additions and calling the church back to its God-given mission. Historical Context Paul’s epistle to the Ephesians was written while he was imprisoned in Rome (circa A.D. 60–62). In this letter, Paul emphasizes the unity of the body (Ephesians 4:4), the singularity of t...

English 🇵🇭 Tagalog ⟵ Previous Next ⟶ Lesson 4: The Organization of the Church Key Passage: Philippians 1:1 “ Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: ” Introduction Modern churches today vary widely in their structures—some led by a single “pastor,” others by boards, committees, or popes. Some have global hierarchies, while others operate as democratic assemblies. But does God leave the organization of the church to human preference? Absolutely not. The New Testament gives a clear and inspired pattern for the local church’s structure, and this lesson will uncover that pattern, contrast it with man-made systems, and call us to follow only what is written (1 Cor. 4:6). Historical Context The church in Philippi was established during Paul’s second missionary journey (Acts 16:12–40). By the time Paul wrote this epistle (c...
