THESIS STATEMENT The New Testament prescribes vocal, spiritual singing as the exclusive form of musical worship in the church. Mechanical instruments, though present in Old Testament worship, are absent in New Testament command, example, and necessary inference. Therefore, their use in Christian worship lacks divine authority, and the silence of Scripture is prohibitive—not permissive.   II.
